Biography

Asgari is a PhD student at the University of Auckland. He has qualifications in Urban Development (Bachelor of Science) and Urban Planning (Master of Science). After four years of professional and
academic efforts, he commenced a PhD in Planning at the University of Auckland in 2018, where he works on social inclusion issue in urban regeneration policies in New Zealand Aotearoa. Having a background in
practical aspects of planning, such as urban design, urban form, housing and urban policies, Asgari seeks to more concentrate on planning theory through his PhD journey. In this regard, he works on philosophical and political roots of planning and their influences on
urban regeneration policies and social inclusion matter in planning.
