Assoc Prof Julia Gatley, MArch, Ph.D. is the immediate past Head of the School of Architecture and Planning (2016-2018). In 2019, she returned to a teaching and research position in the School. She is an architectural historian, with research interests in twentieth-century architecture in general, and the history and heritage value of twentieth-century New Zealand architecture in particular.
